Our Over 55s team travelled to face Hertfordshire for the final County Cup match – and what an afternoon of competitive tennis it was.

Hertfordshire’s top player came out strong, proving too powerful for Miyuki Karski, who battled hard before falling 6–2, 6–0. Natalie Green produced a determined performance in her singles rubber, pushing her opponent all the way before going down 6–3, 6–4.

In the doubles, Viv Spencer and Keyna Parkin played with great energy, putting in two competitive performances despite the 6–2, 6–2 and 6–2, 6–1 scorelines. Meanwhile, Natalie and Miyuki joined forces for a thrilling contest, just missing out in a nail-biting 7–5, 6–4 encounter.

Despite the results, it was a fantastic afternoon of tennis, played in great spirit against a side currently sitting at the top of the table. The Warwickshire team left proud of their efforts and motivated for next season.
