Wheelchair Tennis
Wheelchair Tennis is one of the most inclusive and exciting forms of the game. Whether you're new to tennis, returning after injury or looking for a competitive pathway, there are opportunities to play at all levels.
The sport follows many of the same rules as traditional tennis, with one key adaptation – the ball is allowed to bounce twice. Wheelchair Tennis can be played recreationally, socially or competitively and offers fantastic physical, social and wellbeing benefits.
Interested in Offering Wheelchair Tennis at Your Venue?
Wheelchair Tennis is one of the most established disability formats within the sport and offers a fantastic opportunity for venues to engage new players and create more inclusive opportunities on court.
Through the LTA Open Court programme, Warwickshire Tennis can support venues interested in developing Wheelchair Tennis provision. Open Court provides access to specialist support, training, resources and guidance to help venues create welcoming opportunities for disabled players.
If your venue would like to explore starting a Wheelchair Tennis session, we'd love to hear from you.

Competitions
Wheelchair Tennis offers a clear competition pathway, from local events through to national and international tournaments.
Warwickshire Tennis is committed to supporting disabled players to access competitive opportunities and develop their skills within the sport.
