Support
Our support programme is designed to help players thrive both on and off the court. Alongside technical and tactical coaching, we offer guidance in key areas such as mental wellbeing, nutrition and personal development, ensuring every player feels supported throughout their journey on the Warwickshire Player Pathway.
Mental Wellbeing
Supporting Confidence & Resilience
We recognise the importance of emotional wellbeing in junior sport. Our coaches promote a positive, encouraging environment that helps players manage pressure, build confidence and develop healthy responses to both success and challenge. We aim to foster resilience, enjoyment and a balanced outlook so players can grow not just as athletes, but as individuals.

Nutrition Guidance
Fuelling Performance the Right Way
Good nutrition plays a key role in helping young athletes train effectively and recover well. We provide simple, age-appropriate guidance on hydration, energy levels and healthy habits to support players in training and competition. These foundations help players learn how to look after their bodies and prepare for long-term development in the sport.

Resources & Parent Support
Helping Families Navigate the Journey
Parents play an essential role in a young player’s development, and we want families to feel confident, supported and well-informed throughout the Warwickshire Player Pathway. Our performance team provides clear communication, practical guidance and easy access to useful resources to help parents understand what to expect at each stage of their child’s journey.
We share information on training expectations, competition schedules, preparation tips and player wellbeing, ensuring families always feel up to date. Parents of 9U players also take part in the mandatory “Parenting in Tennis” session, which offers valuable insight into supporting young athletes positively, constructively and safely.
Alongside this, we direct families to helpful LTA materials, recommended reading and general advice on topics such as nutrition, recovery, match preparation and managing emotions in sport. Our goal is to make sure parents feel equipped and reassured, and that every child benefits from a strong partnership between coaches, programme staff and families.
