The Warwickshire County Closed Championships 2025, held at Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club from 24 to 31 August 2025, brought together the county’s top junior, adult, and senior players for an exciting week of competitive tennis. With matches contested across all age groups from under-8s through to veterans, the championships once again showcased the depth of talent in Warwickshire tennis.

The championships enjoyed strong participation across every category, with over a hundred matches played throughout the week. Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club provided an excellent setting, with players and supporters benefitting from top-class courts and facilities.
The atmosphere was competitive but friendly, with families, coaches, and club members turning out in force to cheer on players. Finals day in particular drew a great crowd, highlighting the popularity of the event within the Warwickshire tennis community.
Congratulations to all the winners, finalists, and participants who made the Warwickshire County Closed Championships 2025 such a memorable event. The performances across every age group demonstrated both the strength of Warwickshire tennis today and the promise of future talent coming through the ranks.
A huge thank you also goes to Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club for hosting this year’s Championships and providing such excellent facilities for players and spectators alike. The event would not have been possible without the dedication of the officiating team, led by Referee Bev Lancaster, alongside officials Paul Johnson, Adrian Watts, Diane Gibson, Robert Gibson, Janet Asbridge, and Tom McArdle, whose hard work and professionalism ensured the smooth running of the tournament throughout the week.
