Here are some of our July highlights:

Junior County Cup

Our 11U Girls County Cup team proudly represented Warwickshire at the National Finals, finishing 7th.

A fantastic achievement to reach the national stage and another valuable experience for our young county players.

Play Your Way to Wimbledon – County Finals

The University of Warwick hosted the 2026 Play Your Way to Wimbledon Warwickshire County Finals, with some outstanding tennis on display despite the warm conditions.

Congratulations to our finalists:

• Girls' Champion: Elsie Washbourne

• Girls' Runner-up: Esme Sturmey

• Boys' Champion: Oliver Merricks

• Boys' Runner-up: Dylan Panesar

A huge thank you to the University of Warwick team for their excellent hospitality and for providing a superb venue for the event.

County Week

Warwickshire's senior teams were in action during County Week, producing strong performances in their respective groups.

• The Men's team finished 2nd, narrowly missing out on the top spot.

• The Ladies' team finished 4th in their group.

Congratulations to all the players, captains and support teams who represented Warwickshire throughout the week.

Senior County Cup Success

Congratulations to the Warwickshire Ladies Over 50s, who recorded an excellent 4–1 victory over Cambridgeshire in the LTA Seniors County Cup.

Inclusive Tennis Continues to Grow

Our expanding Warwickshire Tennis Learning Disability & Autism Team enjoyed another fantastic weekend at the Chesterfield LTA Tournament.

The tournament attracted a record number of entries, highlighting the continued growth of inclusive tennis. Several Warwickshire players stepped up to compete in a higher ball-colour category and still returned home with medals.

Two long days of closely fought matches produced some brilliant performances, with plenty of determination shown by the whole team.

The next challenge will see two Warwickshire players represent the county at the Special Olympics National Summer Games Tennis Tournament in Wrexham. We wish them the very best of luck.

Dan Evans Announces His Retirement

July also marked the end of an era as Warwickshire's Dan Evans announced his retirement from professional tennis.

A hugely significant figure in British and Warwickshire tennis, Dan has represented his county and country throughout an outstanding career at the highest level of the sport.
