Here are some of our June highlights:

County Cup Action

Our junior county teams were back in action during June, representing Warwickshire on the national stage.

• The 10U Girls County Cup team competed at the National Finals, securing an excellent 3rd-place finish.

• The 11U Boys County Cup team also enjoyed a strong campaign, finishing 5th.

Congratulations to all the players, captains and coaches involved.

National Success for Arjun

Congratulations to Arjun Hari, who enjoyed fantastic success at Raynes Park, winning the Grade 1 12U Doubles event.

A brilliant achievement at one of the highest levels of junior competition.

Supporting Coach Development

Warwickshire’s James Lang worked with the LTA to help create content for the Level 3 Coaching qualification, focusing on Learning Disability Tennis.

It is fantastic to see Warwickshire experience and expertise contributing to coach education and helping to support the continued development of inclusive tennis.

International Visit to Warwickshire

We were delighted to welcome Kerry Tavrou, Australia’s Head of EDI, to Warwickshire to visit and learn more about some of our tennis projects.

The visit provided a great opportunity to showcase the work taking place across the county and share ideas around equality, diversity and inclusion in tennis.

Play Your Way to Wimbledon – Junior Area Doubles Finals

Walmley Tennis Club hosted a fantastic afternoon of tennis for the Warwickshire & Hereford and Worcestershire Play Your Way to Wimbledon Junior Area Doubles Finals.

Congratulations to our champions:

• Girls’ Doubles Champions: Mia Sztorc & Grace Hadley (H&W)

• Boys’ Doubles Champions: Annand Dhillon & Adam Patel (Warwickshire)

Well done to everyone who competed and helped make the Area Finals such an enjoyable afternoon of junior tennis.
