County Training

What Does it Involve?

County Training is organised practice sessions held and run by Warwickshire Tennis to provide regular opportunities for the best players in the county to train and compete with one another. Performance at County Training squads is then used to make informed selections for County Cup competitions.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • There will be high intensity, fun squad training on a monthly basis – the cost of which will be subsidised by the Warwickshire Tennis

    • Players will get opportunities to represent their county as part of a county team

    • County training will be delivered by local coaches who have specialised training and a track record of working with county performance players

    • The programme will be supported by the LTA National Players Pathway and Regional Performance Team

  • To be considered for selection, players will need to be competing in LTA events and doing fairly well

  • County Training sessions happen throughout the year at multiple venues across Warwickshire. They are not always fixed times, so if you are not involved with County Training and would like to know more, please get in touch. To learn more about County Training, you can read our guide HERE.
