How to Enter LTA Competitions

To compete officially in Great Britain, players must be registered with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and have an LTA number.

Players (or parents) enter tournaments through the LTA competition calendar, choosing the correct age group and grade — from Grade 6 for beginners up to Grade 3 for regional level. Entries are made online before the closing date.

Players can also compete in LTA league competitions, representing their club in team matches throughout the season. These leagues provide regular match play alongside individual tournaments.

Once entered and accepted, players receive match details before the event, and all results are added to their LTA record
